iHeart Radio Review Summary
iHeartRadio is one of the more popular radio apps on the market nowadays. It’s a free app that allows you to access radio stations, create custom stations, and like tracks you’ve enjoyed. If you’re a fan of radio shows but aren’t too happy with having to listen to them via radio, iHeartRadio is just what you need.
iHeart Radio Mobile App Pros and Cons
iHeartRadio is a great app, but there are some downsides to be aware of too.
Upsides of iHeartRadio:
- Full-featured radio: You get the complete radio experience with iHeartRadio. Everything from talk shows to music trivia is available on the usual stations.
- Plenty of extras: Comedy? Sports? News? Talkshows? All this and more is available on iHeartRadio. The access to so many stations makes it easy to find what you want.
Downsides of iHeartRadio:
- Ads: iHeartRadio is ad-supported, and there’s no option to turn them off with premium yet, either. It’s coming, but you’ll have to wait a little while.
- Less control: You can “like” songs, and the station will learn, but your choice won’t influence the content directly. This is less a flaw than an artifact of the format, but is something to be aware of.
